The Goodbye Blue EP was recorded in 2009, in the basement and a couple upstairs bedrooms of the “Cadwell House” where I’ve been living and where we’ve been practicing lately. It is my favorite record I’ve made so far (although hopefully I always think the newest one is the best – that’s kind of the point, I think) and although it was done in a very DIY and low-budget way, using all our own equipment and no outside studio time, I think it sounds great.

The Hey, Rube EP was recorded in late 2007 and early 2008 in my parents’ basement in Grand Rapids and then finished during my time as Artist in Residence at the Contemporary Music Center on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, MA. I don’t listen to this one anymore, there are people who say it is wonderful but it was made during a weird time in my life and I have a hard time going back to it.
Track Listing:
1) Cemetery Songs
2) Tight Rope
3) Glue
4) Open Wide
5) Bus Ride
6) With Luck, Forward
